Default Weight loss buddy wanted!

Hi! My name is Valerie. I'm a 36 year old single mom to an amazing soon to be three year old little girl. I also have an awesome dog names jack whom I adore.

I've battled weight issues since I was a little girl. I grew up in a mental and physically abusive household where my weight was always the center of attention. My dad was not a nice man and would say really mean things to me. That lasted through my teenage years.

I did lose weight twice. First time Through the help of diet pills (taking way too many). That was when I was 19. I gained all the weight back plus some and weighed 223 at age 22. When I was 27 I went on a crazy calorie counting diet consuming 1200 calories a day. I also started hitting the gym twice a day almost 5 days a week. I dropped weight and held a nice healthy weight of 170 for a good 3 years and resumed a normal diet (non restrictive).

Jump forward to today. I gained back all the weight plus an additional 12 lbs. I'm a classic binge eater. Always have been even since I was a kid. A closet eater. Over the past few years nothing has been consistent with me eating other than eating whatever I want whenever I want. I've tried WW, was a member of OA, tried cutting carbs, sugars, diet pills...I guess I've been looking for this magic pill we all desperately want.

I'm now working with a nutrionist focusing on eating every 3-4 hours. I just met with her this afternoon so I will begin this tomorrow.

I would LOVE a weight loss buddy. I don't want to restrict, take pills, count calories etc. I want to learn once and for all how to eat healthy and maintain that lifestyle. I'm not looking to jump on the scale evey week because that number can make or break my efforts. So this is going to be a slow process for me.

I would like to be back to 170 lbs. so I have a solid 65 lbs to get off me. Anyone in a similar position and want to become buddies helping hold each other accountable and motivate one another?

Hi Val, I would love to be your weight loss buddy. I can't pm you since you are new to 3fatchicks, but when you are able, we can exchange emails and stay in contact daily if you would like.
