Default How do you use apple cider vinegar?

Hi guys!

Do any of you use apple cider vinegar for weight loss? I started using it because it supposedly helps for acid reflux (have NOT seen it helping though) but as I was researching online, I came across a lot of people using it for weight loss.

Honestly, this is the nastiest stuff I've ever tried and whenever I have it, I do lose my appetite (but I think it's because the gross taste lingers forever in your mouth) but apart from that, is there anything credible that shows how apple cider vinegar helps weight loss?

I just started with ACV (Braggs) a little over a week ago. So far, I've been adding about two tsp to each glass of my iced tea, with splenda/stevia. It's tastes ok. The more I have I'm getting use to it. I think I even like it now!

Quite a few years ago, there was some indication that vinegar lowers the glycemic index of your foods, so vinegar has been very popular, not just acv. Recently though I've read that vinegar doesn't have an effect on the glycemic index. I don't think vinegar does anything that helps with weight loss.

Default Salad dressing

My favorite salad dressing consists of my tsp of oil (I use avocado oil, but olive or grapeseed works if that's what you have), a tbsp or so of ACV, my ideal salt (sea salt works, too), a small amount of fresh grated ginger and fresh garlic, and fresh pepper. It's potent, but it'll do a large salad. If I'm in the mood for other flavors, I'll put in other herbs or seasonings, but the base of oil, vinegar, and salt stays the same.

i can't get that stuff past my nose! I do use Ken's Apple Cider Vinaigrette Salad Dressing which tastes just like the salad dressing at Panera Bread (apple fuji chicken salad). Tastes pretty good. good luck in acclimating!

Add about 1 to 2 tsps of the apple cider vinegar to an 8oz glass of water and drink it about 10 or 15 mins before you eat. It will help you digest your food and clean out your system. Be prepared because it is an acquired taste. Its also known to help with sore throats.
