Default Ideal Protein vs New Lifestyle Diet

I went online to find the Ideal Protein Diet. I clicked on a link there that brought me to the New Lifestyle Diet. I thought it was still the Ideal Protein Diet. I ordered a month's worth of the diet. I am so disappointed that now it looks like I have been scammed into purchasing a different diet then what I was looking for and had read so much about. I received the package yesterday, so I just started it today. So, I am wondering, has anyone had any luck on the New Lifestyle Diet? Does it work at all? Will I just be wasting my time trying it? Ughh.
(I have reposted this under the General Diet Plan Question section to see if anyone has experience with this diet plan).

I did New Lifestyle Diet about 4 years ago. It tasted fine and started out well. It lowered my appetite and I was very energetic for the first week or two. But I didn't last past 3-4 weeks on it (though I was losing weight). I ended up feeling insanely weak, tired and super dizzy, so I stopped. It was way too few calories and too few carbs. If you are going to give it a try, all that I recommend is that you add more calories and more carbs to your day (a small, healthy lunch? or a few fruit snacks throughout the day). You would still lose weight, but keep your calories and carbs at a healthier range.

Good luck!

I have used this website to find alternative ideal protein plans. I follow the IP protocol, which I found here at 3FatChicks, and generally use the EAS Carb Control Shakes as my protein meal replacements for breakfast, lunch and snack. A friend guided me to New Lifestyle, but after taking a look at their products, I felt they were too high in carbs. I also try to stay away from bars, puddings etc. I have never been successful with them. I stave off hunger by eating humongous salads at lunch and dinner. I also think taking vitamins help tremendously.

Thank you for your responses. I am down 5 lb first week. I don't feel hungry, so, I will keep going. I know it's probably water weight, but, it feels good the scale is going down not up!

Great start Tweedlebeet! My second week was the toughest, hunger as well as carb withdrawal. Hopefully you will not have the same experience. If you do, remember "it will pass". Keep your eye on your goal, and that scale keeps going down!
