I started SB on Monday, Sept. 15 and as of this morning, I've lost over 4.5 pounds! I am amazed and getting used to this way of eating.
I've said that I could live on pizza or ice cream or buttered bread. My go-to meal was a huge bowl of sugary cereal. It's no wonder that I'm diabetic and lately my BGL was rising and nowhere near where it should be. I have been on 10 mg glipizide and my dr. just added junuvia.
But lo and behold, I actually experienced low blood sugar earlier this week and I have since dropped the glipizide to 5 mg and my BGL is spot on! I know, I know, I need to talk to my dr. But if I have to eat candy in order to bring up my levels to where I'm not all shaky, that kind of defeats the idea of the diet.
I was at the grocery store today and as I walked around, I saw things on the shelves and thought, Poison. Chips = poison. Cookies = poison, etc.
I am loving this so far. In fact, today I had to remind myself to eat lunch!
