In reality, I woke up at 5 am (should've gone and hung out with Ruth), finally got outta bed at 5:30, and am sipping my coffee. I've been quite tired, and was hoping to sleep more, but oh well.

Yesterday wasn't bad, today and tomorrow are jam packed. (ohhh, is that sugar free jam? ) I would say I'm looking forward to Sunday, but that's a bit busy as well. I also wrote my boss regarding a proposition on my new position and haven't heard back yet (she's on a business trip), so I'm pacing a bit from that. And there's no wine in the house! Maybe that should be on my to do list.

I did buy one of those vegetti's based on Kalyn's recommendation, and it worked fine. I had meatballs and sauce on zucchini, while the family had meatball subs. Not too bad, eh?

Anyone looking forward to a fun weekend?

Hi Twynn,
Yes, finally Friday! I'm excited...yesterday I finally finished the Altar Guild manual project for my church and delivered it, so that is off my plate. Now maybe I can move forward with some other projects. I'm exploring Getting Things Done - does anyone use this system?

I lost 1.8 lbs....but my ticker is only reflecting a 1 lb. loss, oh well. At least I'm back on track. I know for sure I am going off plan tomorrow night at dinner, and I'm considering having some wine tonight, but at least I'll stick to on plan snacks.

Hope everyone ha a great day today!!

Happy Friday payday! The best part about going back to work is getting paid- funny how that works!

Not sure yet what is on my weekend agenda but DH and I are going out to eat today so I am joining Matilda in a planned OP, maybe even with wine. I will try hard to watch my snacks today.

Other than that I am also getting my hair cut after work and picking up my new glasses. Won't I be a fashion queen? (just joining you, Tammy)

Have to run- have a great day, chicks!!

Good morning, Mathilda and Tammy. Hands off my cabana boys, Tammy!

Mathilda, I know the feeling of relief when a large project is finished. I must investigate Getting Things Done.

Beth, happy payday! I miss payday. Enjoy the haircut and glasses plus going out with Himself to eat.

Slept until 6 today! It helps to have a relatively easy day ahead and to have had fun chatting IRL with my pal Toni. She came over with a glorious huge mum plant and we sipped a glass of wine and just talked. Millie fell in love with Toni and it was mutual. (Toni has a huge grumpy malamute who is not at all cuddly and was delighted to have Millie on her lap.)

The Ladies Lunch went well yesterday and everyone raved about the sandwiches which I must admit were good and looked very pretty arranged on the plates with garnishes. My easy peasy cheesecake was a huge hit and I was asked for the recipe a couple of times. (It's food porn but I may sneak it into the recipe section later.)

Brr! Only 42ºF here this morning with sun today but rain predicted for tomorrow. We have had a cancellation from the auto club guys but we will still do Ploughman's Lunch in the Town Hall tomorrow. I'm hoping this is the last Saturday. Unfortunately our PR guy advertised it so we have to carry on or lose our credibility. I'm now at the stage where I can make up the plates without even thinking!

Hmm - TGIF but I think I'll treat today like my Saturday. A trip to the fabric store may be on the schedule. Might pop into the bookstore to buy Getting Things Done.

Whatever you do, enjoy the day. It's a gift which is why we call it the present!

Good morning.

Tammy - DH and I have been eating zucchini "lasagna" made with "zoodles" a lot!

I workout with my mom this morning. Then groceries. This evening DH and I attend our first ever couples wedding shower for his nephew. It starts at 6 so I'm assuming they'll serve dinner.

Yesterday I had my annual physical. I'm curious to see my lab results after being of cholesterol medication for the past couple of months for the first time in over a decade.

Happy Friday!

God morning It's my Friday chore day around here and the list is long as usual. I've got my pressure cooker refried beans in the pot so a start on that list Tomorrow is a date day, Sunday we are going to CT to see family, and Monday is an extra day off Whale and Bird watching trip. As usual we have lots of fun things planned and I need to find time for chores

Tim finished the new pantry room this week and we are moving things into it. I am looking forward to have plenty of cool space for non-perishables, dehydrated stuff, and storage veggies. Of course now I want a bigger freezer. It never ends.

I will try to get back later for personals. Now I need to get moving because my favorite farm stand has cases of San Marzanos today and I want to get there before they sell out

Good morning!

I'm sitting outside with my phone so I'll just send a quick wave to everyone. I hope you all have a very wonderful day!

We will continue our process of integrating my sister into our home here. First, it's time to go to the pool. It's 15° warmer here today than it is on the other side. I'm glad I covered my sweet peas over there because we had a frost. There was actually a possibility of a little bit of snow. I'm glad I'm missing that. I slept in a little bit today and then tried to get some chores done that wouldn't wake my sister. And went over to my moms house and defrosted our freezer and reorganize and pitched a few things. I'm thinking I'll try to sort through my compost pile again before it freezes here.

That's about it here. I sure love it over here wish I had the opportunity to spend a little more time. I miss all my gardening and things are used to do over here. Oh well. Life is good.

You chicks are funny today with your jokes lol

Was up and out before 5 am to ride with Road 2 Recovery. Avery similar to Wounded Warrior program. We went over the George Washington Bridge into NYC with a stop at Macy's The NYPD Marching band played and we enjoyed a decadent breakfast inside Macy's. It was really cool!!! The employees couldn't of been any nicer.

Next we went to the 9/11 Memorial. We were given tickets to the museum. I must say it was very moving. The designers did a wonderful job. Most visitors were extremely respectful. However a few thought it was appropriate to pose with relics for photos. I did have some anxiety, ok a lot of anxiety being so far under ground. I shed a few tears in the remembrance room. Especially when I saw a photo of my brother's high school friend John. I can handle being outside on the grounds, but do not think I will visit the museum again. Just too much for me. We only had a small group from the Unity Tour Ride today. We stayed close in the museum. I think we all had a rough time.

Afterwards, now this was fun, we took our bikes on the ferry back to NJ. After 5 more miles we had a really enjoyable BBQ with the soldiers. They were truly inspirational. The 5 of us who rode were given cycling jerseys from their group as a thank you. I will wear mine with honor. And not gain a pound because they are form fitted yikes!!!!

Now I need to iron clothes for tomorrow (another food porn day) Sunday it is back to being good and hopefully some more miles on the bike.
