I went to the doctor yesterday and he did an ultrasound to help date the pregnancy and ordered blood work but that wont be back until today.
Now I am very early, there's no fetal poles or heart beats, so the fact that there were two yolk sacs, even though its twins, well, one unfortunately could disappear at this point. Actually, I'm so early, I'm nervous that neither will survive.
But seriously right now its twins! Holy BLEEP!
The 4th was a surprise, but 5...I'm trying not to getting excited/scared yet though because its too early.
I go back next week for another ultrasound to see if both of them are still there.

Aww! That's amazing! It is hard to not get excited/scared over all of this! I know your fear, I've had miscarriage too. I hope as time goes on, you can relax and enjoy. But, oh boy! 2 for the price of 1!
Wow, your doc saw you early! Mine didn't make an appointment for me for either one until I was at 10 - 12 weeks, and I was AMA for both (36 for the first and 38 for the second).

Sending you good thoughts!
I had two early miscarriages and I need to be on progesterone from the beginning. That means going in as soon as I get a positive test. I don't know when is ovulated so my doc did an ultrasound to attempted to date the pregnancy.
Patients without a history of early miscarriage don't need to go in that early.
Thank you. Its so early but now I feel this sense of worry for two little lives! I know its very common to lose one this early, but I'd feel so sad if one didn't make it I hope they are both ok. I go back Monday for another ultrasound.
Aww, this is exciting! Twins run on my mom's side and on my stepmom's side! I have twin cousins, they are so wonderful! They're paternal twins but look almost identical.
I will send lots of positive thoughts and prayers your way!
