Default Finally Friday at the Beach, June 13

Good Morning

My DH will be happy to learn it's a Friday the 13th. He says 13 is his lucky number. (PS-checking to see if the month, day and date are right )

We got a lot done in the yard yesterday when I got home from work. We had 3 rose bushes to plant and the complex timer/watering system needed to be hooked up. Done. Today we will head over the hill for medical appts. and 2 days at the pool. Exciting since it's been several weeks since I've been over.

What's going on with you all today? Stop and say hi

Good morning!

Debbie, enjoy your time at the pool.

Bea- that's a lot of graduations. Hope you enjoyed!

Good morning y'all. Tis Friday, but I do work tomorrow. My first staff meeting yesterday went well, and I also got the most touching note from a staff member, I joked I was going to have it bronzed. Wow.

I realized I forgot to make my lunch last night, so I'll do that in a minute. I'm also throwing beans in the crock pot, for black beans and rice. mmmmm

Good morning!

Debbie, I've been double checking the date lately, too! Enjoy your pool time today!

Bea, wow, that sure is a lot of graduations! Will you have the summer off?

Tammy, aw, that is so sweet that a staff member wrote you a nice note! It sounds like you're appreciated at your new place! Oh, I had red beans & rice for my supper last night, too! I melted some cheddar over it and it was delish!

I have a few errands to run this morning, then I'm going to take Dad out to lunch as an early Father's Day so I'm not in competition with my brothers on Sunday. It's going to be another rainy day so I know I won't get anything done outside, but the vegetable and flower gardens are looking great! I'll have zucchini ready for picking in a couple of days.

Well, I've always felt Friday the 13th was lucky too. However, it IS raining - still! It's supposed to be a great weekend though.

As usual, there's lots to get done including setting up the Hall for an event tomorrow at noon. So glad we have "staff" aka "slaves" to do the set-up. The food is being catered by a local producer - Wendy does a great job. All we need to supply are the plates and glasses. Cathy, the "organizer" of this event, thought she would show up around noon on Saturday to do set-up. Lunch is to be at one! Anna and I refuse to work that way so will get things done today!

Jazz just came back in soaked to the skin and shivering! I gave him a good rubdown and he's heading for bed. I feel like joining him but will resist and crank up the day! that today turns out !

Good morning. I guess now I'll be able to remember what day it is!

I work out this morning and work this afternoon. DH and I will finish up our marathon of season 2 of Orange is the New Black Tonight. Love binge watching shows!

I really need to do some menu planning. I have not felt like cooking in the longest time. Okay, I NEVER feel like cooking. But lately I've gotten very lazy and DH and I are both content with frozen meals, which are never as healthy as what I'd cook. Sigh.

Have a great day.

Afternoon, ladies. It might be Friday the 13th but it was our last day of regular classes and it feels like quite an accomplishment to make it through another year. I still have exams to give and grade, as well as paperwork to do but still, a milestone. Is it 5 o'clock yet so I can celebrate?

Cottage, after essentially a week of rain I trudged out to the garden and was amazed at the growth. We are supposed to get a bit of warmth in the next few days which will also help.

Bea, wow! Hope the graduations were enjoyable.

Karen, I have not done a good job of planning lately either. Last night I was tempted to suggest Chinese but made sausage with peppers and onions instead. Much healthier.

to all the other chicks! Have a great evening.

Happy Friday Chicks (don't we have a wine drinking emoticon somewhere??)
Today was the usual hectic day off. We are now relaxing with a slightly embarrassing ww frozen pizza and some yummy fresh from the farm swiss chard It is alumni weekend here so I will stay as far away from town as I can. It's an excuse for huge parties with lots of public drinking and then weeks of gossip after. Sounds like fun but I think I will pass

Thanks for al the grandma congrats. I am so excited

Time to relax with a glass of wine and a movie. We have three 5:30 mornings in a row so it will be n early night around here.
