Default SI Joint Pain

I apologize if this is not in the right section for posting but was unsure of what category this could be under.

Anyway. About a year ago I had a severe injury to my lower back, right in my SI joint (sacroiliac joint is where the hip bones connect and support the spine) and couldn't walk correctly for about a month. I was essentially paralyzed for a week because I couldn't stand!

So fast forward to today and I'm almost back to normal. Exercise has helped me regain mobility and strengthen my back/hips, but I still run into pain regardless of stretching before and after work outs. And surprisingly, I hurt more when I DONT work out.

Has anybody else experienced these problems? Any tips on how to alleviate or stretch out the SI joint?

I have severe issues in this area as well. I see a chiropractor for adjustments which helps.
