Here how the story goes....first one to lose 5 pounds wins!!
But it's really about each of us chasing down those 5 pounds, and encouraging one another, sharing struggles and celebrating success (frankly it's more cooperative than competitive!)
sarahinparis won the last one, will you win this one?

(I was so freaked out to see a goal weight solidly in the 170s that I double-checked it with my calculator just to make sure!)
Another great day off with dh but it's time to really get to work, my pool exercise just isn't enough. Keeps the cheater pounds away but I'm digging in. We decided my goal is 160s on the first....with getting hydrated and water weigh from dehydration and alcohol it shouldn't be a big deal. I had a large piece of pizza yesterday too which didn't help things at all.
Sue, I'm not in the 70s, still the 180s, but at least the lower half! It's the goal I had recaluclated, not the actual weight... and of course, that's up again today.
Sarah.. I was bad and did not finish my thought.. (I was very tired).. I had meant to say at the end of this challenge you both would be in the 170;s My boo boo! LOL and that will still happen!
I am up too ,.., salty food last night for dinner!
Ok, so I still haven't recovered from my weight gain from those dang evil bars lol
Went on vacation this weekend and ate everything on plan - BUT, now finding out that some of the dishes made we were lied to about the ingredients. That makes me very sad because I just wouldn't have eaten the stuff.
Cole slaw we were told made with reg mayo, splenda vinegar, salt and pepper, but instead low fat mayo and sugar. Chili had sugar in it we were told it did not - and then we made a booboo and used the wrong ketchup (grabed the regular bottle by mistake instead of our low carb one). As well as some other little snuck in sugars in dishes through low fat products or added sugar. Kinda disappointing because they all know how well we've been doing, feels a little wronged that they'd sabaotage us like that. I dont' think it was from a mean place, but disappointing none the less.
Hubby had a 6lb gain and I stayed the same (I was much more active, hiking, etc which I think is what kept me from reflecting a gain).
Thanks Sue - Yeah it'll come back off, I just hate it even came on and all from stupid stuff- but no point dwelling. It's just a couple pounds and I"m still working towards my goal!
I am just going to encourage you guys on this one. I am sad to say that I jumped up a lot. Still trying to get my head in the game. But I have gotten up early each morning this week to walk a mile before work and then have been ding a mile at work. Will probably start walking in the afternoons again to get in my 3 miles. Of course that will probably mean no morning walk. LOL
Sue- my husband and I were watching for the great meteor shower last weekend, too! What a bummer! We even rented a cabin out of town so that we could see the stars better! Luckily we were able to meet with a lot of old friends and the weather was perfect.... Otherwise we would have been really bummed.
Smith- you are are doing so well. I think you said this is your second time doing Atkins....if you don't mind me asking, how long did it take you to lose the weight the first time around? I haven't been able to get motivated like I wasthe first time, but I don't seem to have quite the same results that I did the last time when I do stay on plan.
Ali- you are still doing great as well! Already down a total of 20 lbs.... That's great!
I have some very low carb processed chicken burgers. There is no added sugars..... But can any of you tell me some of the other bad ingredients I should
Look for when purchasing meat?

I am planning to stay on plan while my mother in law visits. I hope I can do it!
Ali.. you lost some of that gain already WOOHOO for that! That is wonderful!
MARA.. we miss you and I wish that you posted here... I know how you feel as I had had a hard time starting again once I gained that 9 lbs earlier this month... but coming here and posting really does help! Please come back we miss you!
Traveler...argh that darn meteor shower! Argh.. I am glad that you had fun tho with friends.. (Me too with my club members) I have more mosquito bites than I saw meteors LOL I did see 1 bright green fireball that most of South Florida saw around 1:50 am et or so. It looked like a Roman candle spitting as it moved across the sky - very bright! Thank goodness we have other meteor showers Do you have a telescope?
I had a NICE woosh last night and I knew it was coming as I was only .6 lbs over my morning weight when I went to bed and I am usually 2+ lbs over.. so I knew this morning wood be good.... Not eating much for dinner... well 7 times in the last 3 months I found that eating less at dinner time helps me lose more.. interesting....
5/27....176.0
5/28....176.0....chips and fresh salsa and guacamole for dinner

Nice loss Sue!!
traveler....the first time it was several months to lose 25 pounds, this time is slower but it's coming down. I do have atkins shakes and bars, the chocolate is a must!! I've ate pizza and cookies so I am not all that disciplined this time. I love my green berry smoothie in the AM. I know it's the best for my life and my heart so I keep plugging along. I do see definition in my arms and my belly bloat is gone. I see what I am doing is making a difference not only on the inside but outside as well
Sue & Traveler: Awesome one the meteor shower – sorry you couldn’t see it. I wanted to so bad and set my alarm to get up and watch --- but slept right on through it lol
You guys are doing great, congrats to all! Nice loss Sue!
