Default Frustrated on PH2 :(

Hi

I've been on PH2 for 1 1/2 weeks now. The first few days I pretty much was still on PH1 but added a little snack of fruit yogurt or pudding (sugar free). This week I added All Bran cereal in the morning a few days, other days a SBD PH1 Muffin or PH1 Flax Bread with peanut butter. I had lunch one day with a low carb whole wheat wrap and turkey. I have had maybe 3 small squares of a dark chocolate (72%) bar in the last week (not each day, total). I'm also staying at 1200 calories or below in many cases. I know this because I use the Fitness Pal app.

I'm baffled as to why my weight has now gone up from 136 to 138.8 in the last week. I'm really on a Phase 1.5, I'm certainly not eating as many PH2 foods as I did a few years ago when I was successful on this diet.

I'd love some thoughts on what I might be doing wrong. My goal is 130 and I'm 5'4. I started at 144 and did get down to 136 before starting upwards again. Maybe TMI but I did have my period last week so there could have been some water weight but I'm over it now and my weight seems to be going up a little each time I check in (every other day).

Thanks!

My weight did this as well & it is very frustrating but stick with the program & you will begin to see losses again. I am down 16 lbs in 5 weeks now.

Several random thoughts:

You don't have that much to lose so it will probably come off slowly. In my own experience, the first time on SB I lost faster and subsequent times I lost more slowly. Also, it is entirely possible that you are not eating ENOUGH. Our bodies will often react to low calorie intake by thinking we are starving and our metabolism slows. One thing you might try is varying your intake over the week - eat more one day and less another - to keep you body guessing. Also, have you measured? Sometimes you will actually see a difference in size before it registers on the scale.

Weight loss is often not linear, with ups and downs even when we are eating on plan. Hang in there.
