Default Merry Monday - April 21

Good morning. We've now had Spring for a month and things certainly look better than a month ago! Sure was great to have a precipitation-free weekend for Easter and the Syrup Festival.

I was really-really tired last night after three days straight of work and people schmoozing but it was a great success. Today I want to be a hermit and snuggle into my house but will have to go out to take the loot to the Bank. I have a busy summer ahead of me since we don't have a Mill manager but plan to take some "hermit" days or even maybe a weekend or two.

Spring is definitely here - glorious sun all weekend and today is cloudy but still spring-like temps. I have not yet swapped out my wardrobe and am not looking forward to it as I've "plumped up" a bit. (Pancakes and BBQ this weekend didn't help.) Anyhow, the mud in the lane is drying and the snow pile on the lawn is diminishing. I have crocus in bloom and my wee blue scillas are showing colour although there is still a diminished Snow Mountain on the front lawn. It's time!

Time to get this week underway. Jazz has felt neglected the past few days so I will work in some one on one time for the wee guy today. Maybe a walk in my Uncle Bob's woods to see if there are any hepaticas in bloom to match my avatar.

Another coffee and a cruise around the boards is first though. Happy Monday!

Good morning Ruth! Glad you had a beautiful weekend there, it's been monsoon season here in NC. LOL...of course it stops today while we leave!

The great news is I'm down several pounds over a holiday travel weekend (although it is a different scale), but unfortunately it's from having some GI issues. Hopefully it will be better traveling today!

So just long miles on the road today. Hope everyone has a merry Monday!

Morning ladies! I love waking up to 50-ish temperatures and grass that is greening nicely. Hooray that winter is over!

Today is my last vacation day and will be full of niggles. Vacations are always too short!

Ruth, glad you had a good weekend!
Tammy, safe travels!

I think the coffee is ready. Can I get anyone a cup?
Have a great day chicks!

Good morning

I slept in this morning so I'm on the run. I got the kitchen picked up and laundry started. Coffee smoothie and clean the cat box. Drop the pup off and head to work.
Have a great day everyone !

Good morning. I've got my usual Monday workout with mom and trainer. I work the closing shift tonight. Yesterday I went through the recipe section here to find some warm weather meals. Made one salad last night and will try another today. It's more complicated to find ones that will also be vegetarian for DH. Salads with beans, salads with lentils...

Have a great day.

Monday, Monday here we go again. I'm running late as usual. Just three days this week. We are taking a staycation for Tim's birthday next weekend. Lots of work to cram into three days so I'm running already.

Good morning,

Busy weekend but got alot accomplished. We finished replacing all the boards that need replacing yesterday on the deck. Now to let the new boards age a bit and I am sanding the old boards to remove whats left of old stain paint and then I can put new restore deck paint on it. What an improvement already though it looks great.

We went to church yesterday and instead of cooking we just went to a restaurant it was nice and it was beautiful day.

I am doing Phase 1 this week my eating and Easter candy got the best of me and my pants are snug this morning.

Have a great day everyone!

This Monday didn't start out too merry, since our water heater developed a good sized leak in it yesterday. We found out when our grandson came running up the stairs yelling that the carpet in basement was all cold and squishy. So a trip to Home Depot was first on our list this morning. Water heaters are expensive enough, and Jake was going to have them install it until we found out it would cost more than the water heater! Luckily, Dustin was only working 1/2 day today, so he and Jake are installing it themselves right now.

I've already gone over the carpet with the wet vac, and when the guys are done they're going to roll it up and carry it outside to dry in the sunshine. The grandkids had their toys and stuff all over the place down there, and it's going to be their job after school today to get it all picked up and cleaned up.

This certainly wasn't how I intended to spend my day off, but at least it's a pretty day!

Linda, that's right up there with using a large putty knife to get the bird and doggy deposits off my deck! At least I didn't need to use the wet-vac! We have rain in the forecast for the next few days - and colder weather - so it was good to get it done before then when I could just use the broom.
