I'm trying to decide what my days off will bring this week. I tweaked my back the last day in Cali and a visit to the chiro helped but yesterday was a bit tiring at work. It feels better this morning. DH got up early and went to the shop. I think I'll see if he wants to head over to the pool and spend a few days. It's more Springish over there.
Foodwise, I've gotten right back on track after my vacation indulgences, which really didn't include too much sugar-just more food than usual. The scale is moving right back down. It's what I love about SBD. It's really easy to get back on track these days.
Happy Humpday Debbie, thanks for starting us off! Yes, SBD is awesome, as long as I stick to it . Glad your back is feeling a bit better.
Today is a shortish day at work, with two meetings to follow. I have my bible study tonight, which is a great group of women (who love to talk a lot....) that I've missed for a few weeks with DH gone, so I'm really looking forward to that. Bad thing is, they bring treats everytime!
It is 25 degrees out right now, with a real feel of 12. Doesn't mother nature know that's against the law in mid april?!
Good morning, EarlyChicks! We are cold here too but at least it isn't snowing. I can put on an extra sweater to keep warm but sure can't ignore the snow falling! Yesterday was horrible and really affected my mood.
Today I'm off to town for odds and ends and must get to the bank for a weekend float for the Festival. They are closed Friday for the holiday and we'll be selling baking first thing on Saturday morning. (Still have not done my baking!)
Hmmm. Just checked and my car doors are frozen shut. It'll be hair-dryer time before I go anywhere. (I wanted to let the window defroster run for a while to remove the ice.) Probably just as well since there is probably black ice on the highway. Sunshine will take care of that.
I hope your back is better, Debbie! Some pool time sounds like the perfect therapy for it.
Did you get any snow overnight, Tammy? Apparently, we had flurries, but there aren't any traces of it. Dustin did see a few cars with snow on them when he went out for his coffee earlier, though.
It's feeling like winter here but should start warming up later in the day. It better, since I put all my winter clothes away!
We had a great day yesterday at The Franklin Institute, and the Pompeii exhibit was both interesting and a bit creepy. Everybody was walking out of there with a somber expression on their faces. I think both of the girls enjoyed the planetarium and the pendulum stairs much better, though. The weather was absolutely dreadful with torrential rain and flooding, and I'm so glad we took the train, rather than driving in.
I know Maggie has a dr. appointment this morning, and there's riding lessons later this afternoon, but I don't know what they have planned for me in between. I do enjoy having them both off of school, though.
Good morning, chicks. We have snow on the ground this morning, but I'm try to be cheerful about it: at least the grass is still poking through. It's supposed to be sunny all day so hopefully it will melt. Either way, I am going to steadfastly continue to change out my closet. I did quite a bit of laundry yesterday but now must do the packing-away. Spring will come!!
Cottage, your museum trip sounds awesome! Ruth, drive safely. Debbie, hope your back continues to improve. The pool sounds wonderful. Tammy, as soon as you figure out how to make Mother Nature cooperate, let me know!!
Nothing but niggles on my agenda today. But first, time to search for coffee!
Good morning Snow, flooding, cold, blah, blah, blah. Wish I didn't have to go out today. At least it won't hang around now. We have been hiring a friend's son to help with heavy yard work. He is supposed to come over today but it's just to cold for the guys to work out there right now.
Debbie - the pool sounds perfect. Hope that does the trick.
Tammy - Apparently anything goes in April!
Ruth - hope the sun is out
Cottage - Sounds like an interesting trip
Beth - I rotated all my clothes a couple of weeks ago. Hot flashes might be useful today
Okay, I better get moving. Who knew an April Hump Day would include a sled?!
Started Ph1 today. Luckily, we had groceries delivered ahead of time - though we got mostly ice and sleet here in the DC area. At least I didn't have to go back out again after a harrowing drive home.
I am off to Baltimore today to go to a special eye institute. Before they start infusions, I am getting a third opinion.
I hope the sun is out for you all and the spring clothes are here to stay!
Well I can tell you it was miserable driving home from work at 1 am. Took it slow since my tires are overdue to be replaced. Did not get to bed until after2 and decided to sleep in today. A little to slippery to take the bike out today. Guess I'll spin instead.
Debbie a little pool time sounds like a great idea for your back
Linda the museum sounds great
Tammy I'd love some chili (the cook here has been slacking lately)
Jen good luck at the eye doctor
Beth I swapped out my clothes already. Enjoy
Ruth I used a lot of colorful language yesterday too
Today is the usual running around before my work week starts (last night was OT) Having dinner with Joe later. Meeting a former coworker to set up a one day cram session for the promotional exams. He works for a tutoring company that helps get you prepared for promotional exams. Now I need to get prepared to start the day.
