Talking Hello Everyone!!!

Hello there everyone!!!

I just found out this forum and spent some hours reading stuff around... this is REALLY good!! I'm loving it!! There is so much information and so many people willing to help others on their weight loss... I'd like to be part of this.

About Me...

I've always been at least at little bit overweight since I was a child (metabolism things I guess), so I also have struggled to lose weight since.. well, ever. I've already tried many different diets and all kinds of stuff to lose weight. I have lost weight and gained it back several times as well.. but the good side is that you always learn something from your experiences, right?

So here I'm today.. with the awareness that I need to change my way of living and exercise, eat healthy food, etc... if I want to make a permanent change and keep the body I dream with when I reach it...

Btw, at this moment I still need to lose 16 pounds... so let's do this!!

Hi RAchel
some of the things you say have been my experience too e.g. learning from each diet time and my lifelong weight issue.

However i don't attribute to metabolism. I think its just having a bigger appetite being a bit greedier and less self-disciplined than my sister who has never been overweight, always leaner than me.

I'm fairly of sick of going backwards after making such great progress so now i'm hoping to stay on my current style of eating forever. I'm quitting sweets. My biggest weakness and finally think i can commit to it longterm. I have done it for about 6 months before.

I think i have 26 pounds to lose and have just lost 20 in the last two months. And i'm supposed to be doing it slowly. Anyway no pressure, avoiding hunger, eating well, no depending on formal exercise and looking after my mood and mental health are my other key strategies. Oh and keeping a food diary.
