New to the site, but not new to the weight loss game.
Hi, all!
I've just joined after lurking on the site for a few hours. It seems like a wonderful and supportive community!
I've struggled with my weight (both loss and gain) all my life. I've been through bulimia, eating addictions, and all kinds of things.
I have a fitness blog that tells the story of my weight struggles for the past two years. I went from 175-ish to 135-ish through clean eating and yoga. I fell off the wagon several months ago, and gained about 38lbs back.
I'm actually quite happy at my current weight, and I long ago banished all body negativity from my mind. The only problem is that, as a model, I'm expected to maintain a certain body type. So I'm getting back in the game for my career (and Lord knows my joints will thank me, too). My mission is to get down to 120, which my doctor has assured me is still a healthy weight for me. I prefer to be in the 130-135 range, but modeling agencies are brutal. I've been doing this since I was 14, so I know how critical they can be. The bright side to all this is that as soon as I sign with an agency, I can get myself established and then sneakily gain my lovely 10-15 sweet spot pounds back.
Lord, I didn't mean to write a novel!
Anyway, I'd love to make some new friends to draw inspiration and motivation from. I'm excited to meet the community and finally get back on track!
