Default Back in the saddle

Well, this is my first post after being off the wagon for a long, long time. I've decided it's time to focus on me and on being healthy. My family on both sides have a long history of cardiac problems, diabetes and cancer, so it's only in my best interest to start down this path and do my best to stay on track.

I've set four goals for myself, for this week:

1. Move away from beverages with calories (oh gosh, morning Café Mocha will be a toughie- seriously)
2. Increase overall fluid consumption
3. Journal my food/beverage intake
4. Get on the exercise bike today, even if only for a few minutes

I figure that I can do anything for a week, and these seem like reasonable goals, and then the week will hopefully will motivate me enough to keep me moving forward.

As you can see, for the first week, I am trying not to overly focus on food, as I don't want to overwhelm myself with too many changes at once, but will have more focus there next week.

Thoughts???

Welcome back ANewLife4Me!
We should give ourselves credit for even the smallest improvement!
I started out by spending months reading and getting informed because what I knew didn't work. I am still always reading and changing things.
Good luck!
