Default Hi Everyone

I'm new & just hoping I can do this. I am so tired of being bigger than I want to be. I use to be stick thin & when my mother died I went into a deep depression that has lasted way longer than it should have. I am a smart person, why did I not know that I was depressed & that it was affecting me in many different unhealthy ways? After talking to many people & actually finding out what my problem is I have started taking steps to get back to being a better version of me. I joined WW & lost some weight, it was good for me, but because of some family issues I decided that I really didn't want to pay that much money each month, I would rather that money be spent elsewhere, so I decided to stick with WW and do the points on my own. I also decided that I am going to quit smoking, and I am in the process of doing that this week. Smoking is one of the unhealthy activities that while being depressed I would just not let go of, it is time. So yes I am going to be one of those over achievers that wants & needs to do it all at once. So looking for support, encouragement & probably an occasional virtual kick in the butt while I try to fix everything at once.

Welcome to 3FCs justsayno. I can't imagine what it was like when your mom died. There is no right way to grieve and everyone experiences loss in their own way. Depression can be sneaky, don't blame yourself for not seeing it. Sounds like you are well on your way to getting back on track. Good for you for quitting smoking. There is lots of great support here. Good luck with your journey.

Hi Justsayno! When I lost my mother, I knew in the weeks following that I was depressed but it went on for so long after that, I didn't realize my depression was still connected to losing her, so I understand. I am so glad you have taken steps to get "you" back! I love that you are going to quit smoking and congrats on the weight you've lost so far! Good job! By the way, we have a WW forum here, so be sure to check it out! Good luck! You can do this!

Thanks you two.

Today was a good day. I got nothing accomplished except buying pet food, but I ate only what I had planned for today & after my salad at dinner I will be done.
