Default New Here and Looking for support

Hello,

I am new here and just looking for some support with my weight loss journey. I have been large my whole life but after gaining an extra 97 lbs with my first pregnancy 7 years ago I have been obese.

I now have 2 children and would love a third, but I don't think my body can handle the extra weight.

I have dieted my WHOLE life and nothing has ever really worked because I am an emotional eater. This along with a lack of time for my sports has really caused a 7 years of steady weight gain.

I am ready- and hope to find some support here- all of my friends and family are very skinny people and I feel very alone most of the time.

I hope that this is the time for change.

Kat

Hi Kathleeen! Welcome for taking that first step and I know how hard it is to do it. Good luck on your journey there will be highs and lows but to be successful you need to just do it.
The most important thing for you to do is to journal or track your food. Even after I have done this for almost 6 months I am a horrible judge of calories and track my food daily good days and even on really bad days.
Have some sort of a food scale and measuring equipment like cups/tablespoons. I weigh all my food.
The third thing is to know you are worth it and you can do this. So many times we wonder "Is it all worth it?" Yes it is because you are worth it and you need to think about yourself and do it for you and your family.
Also there are a bunch of challenges. Go ahead and jump right in to one.
