Cool Hello from Pennsylvania

Hi, I'm Trish. I'm 37. This is my first diet. I need to lose about 200 lbs. Yikes such a big number!!!! I'm not sure how to go about it other then restricting calories. I'm going to poke around here for some ideas.

Hi Trish! Counting calories is a good plan. If your appetite is triggered by carbs like breads, pasta, potatoes, chips, cakes, and candies, it might be a good idea to look into low carb eating. If you don't have a particular problem with carbs, then straight counting calories should work just fine for you. Everyone is raving about the myfitnesspal app so you might want to look into that. It's supposed to be extremely helpful. Good luck!

This is a great place for ideas and support. For me counting calories has been working like a charm. I use the myfitnesspal app. Course I also did P90X to jump start the weight loss. It really all depends on your body and what works best for you. Best thing is to try different things til you find what works for you. Best of luck on this journey!
