I've tried lots of different things to lose weight but only for short amounts of time. I've never been able to stick to a plan. For the past few weeks, I've been eating better and trying to get in one hour of exercise most days. I've been able to do it regularly because I finally have the self confidence to do it. I have read this site in the past but as a lurker and I think another good step in my weight loss would be to participate more.

I have a long way to go but I've realized that I have to chip away at it slowly because the alternative (being overweight, or more overweight) is not an option for me anymore. I've been held back by my weight too long and want to finally fully enjoy my life and my youth.
