Red face I am new :)

Hello, my name is Jessica and I am 23 years old.

I joined because I enjoyed reading other peoples stories about weight loss. I currently weigh 251 lbs, and just a few weeks ago I weighed in at 256 lbs... the most I have ever weighed... I have cut back on everything I eat. I exercise after work, and I cut soda, fast food, and red meat out of my diet as well. I also have been counting calories, and it really helps.

My goal is 150 lbs... I would love to loose 100 lbs by next summer. I would love to be back down to the weight I once was when I was 18 years old. I would love to be happy again, to not be sad when im at the beach and I realize im not in one single picture with my family because I am ashamed of what I look like. I want to be able to shop for clothes anywhere, and not have to feel depressed when I walk into a small boutique, and realize everything they have in there wont fit me... I want to look great for summer, and feel better about myself... I know I can do it, and I want to share my story with you all.

I have 100 lbs to loose and I am ready!!

Thank you for taking the time in reading this, I really do appreciate it.

Hi Jessica! Congrats on the 5 lbs lost! It sounds like you have a good plan, so just keep taking it 5 lbs at a time and you will reach your goal! Be sure to check out our 20-Somethings sub-forum under Support Groups. Good luck! You can do it!

Welcome, Jessica! 5lbs is a great start, and a great way to continue looking at it—100lbs seems so daunting (when I started I had more than 130 to go, eek...) but on my weight journal I do countless mini-goals of 5lbs at a time. It'll get you there!

Good luck on your journey!

Hi Jessica,
I am new today as well and am glad to have some compadres in the battle of the bulge! I started on the Personal Trainer food 31 days ago. Went cold turkey on breads, sugars and alcohol. Taking it one day at a time because looking ahead to how much I need to lose is soooo daunting!
