Default On my way!

Hi there, I am Aly. I'm currently about to end week 3 of my new lifestyle.
I am almost at my first milestone, I weighed in yesterday and I am at -9.25 lbs.
I started out 3 weeks ago at my heaviest of 245lb. My goal weight hypothetically is around 130, but to be honest once I get under 180 I will likely stop weighing in and just focus on how things fit and how I feel.
This is mostly because I plan on building up muscle again and I dont want to stress myself out with a scale.
I am really excited to be here and can't wait to keep this journey going!

That is GREAT progress so far! Doesn't it feel so good? I don't actually own a scale myself. I don't really know what I weighed to begin with (Although I think it was around 205 from my last doctor appointment a couple months ago.) So the other day I was at Meijer, and I went over to the section where they sale scales and I noticed one was out, not even packaged and so I said "What the heck. I'll weigh myself." I hopped on and it said 189! I was REALLY surprised. I don't know how accurate that was, but it has to be close.

Either way, the moral of the story here is, don't depend on what that scale says! Just go by the way you feel! But it sounds like you are doing a fantastic job and keep up the good work!

Default IP Newbie

Hi! I am new to the site and am easing in to starting Ideal Protein on Monday. I have about 20 lbs to lose. I am 5'5" and currently weigh 145 lbs. I have to have rotator cuff surgery in a couple of weeks and not only will I be sedentary, I will also only have the use of my non- dominant hand lol My husband is on Phase 2 of IP and has done very well. I admit I loved the Chicken Pottage for lunch with added broccoli. Salmon and veggies on tap for dinner. I normally eat quite well but am also extremely active and since I won't be able to exercise, I plan to really focus on IP.

Thank you! I'm looking forward to just watching myself change. My husband is down 10.5 lbs now and it's so noticeable. /jealous

Woop woop! Do you have a current plan on how you'll do your journey, exactly? Goals? I honestly think that its great that - instead of following the scale - you're going to go by what you believe is good looking for you. I know those numbers, themselves, could be very stressful.
