Hi everyone! I'm Val, and today is my first day here. I have a lot of weight to lose. I currently weigh 280, and should be around 140, so literally double what I should be. For several reasons (all of which I'm fully responsible for) I started binge-eating about 2 years ago. Prior to that, I was overweight, and even obese at times, but never ate the way I do now. There have been lots of changes and events in my life over the past 4 years, and the past 2 have been the most difficult to cope with, and I turned to food for comfort. I don't want that relationship with food anymore.
I've tried various diets in the past, but I've become an "all or nothing" kinda gal. So while a healthful diet and exercise plan would be best, for me I know that it's not something I can stick with. Believe me, I've tried. Anyway, long story short, I've decided to go on a VLCD using shakes, and those will come in today, and I start tomorrow.
I'm looking forward to getting to know all of you, and to all of us being successful in our weight-loss goals.
