Default Last night was a cheating fest...

In a dream.

It's interesting because this is the first time I've ever dreamed about cheating on a diet. I've been doing so well lately. The dream didn't bother me so much as it did amuse me.

In it, I was at a party and of course there was a lot of food there that is not diet friendly at all. But I wasn't eating any of it.

Another odd thing about this dream: my ex was there. He was the center of attention like he usually was at parties. He was telling everyone how his job made him take male sensitivity training and people were ragging on him for it.

Finally I got talked into having one slice of pizza. Everyone was telling me how good I look. And someone asked me why I'm not eating. I said something like, "Well, I can't look this good and eat food like that." And they were all like, "Oh come on, just try some, it won't kill you." SO I ate one slice of pizza, and there were so many different kinds there that I took time decided what piece I wanted and what toppings I wanted, etfc. It was like a major decision, lol.

My ex was getting ready to leave. He was telling everyone goodbye and he walked over to me and took his hair down (he had it in a pony tale before) and he was like, "Come on, touch it, you know you want to." When I was dating him, one of the things I found the most attractive about him was his hair. So I touched it, but felt bad about doing so because I'm dating someone else now. And then he hugged me and kissed me. I said, "Wow, I get to touch your hair and I get a kiss, this is turning out to be a good night." Then he told me goodbye and left.

Then people at the party were asking why I let him kiss me when we are split up and I'm with someone else. I tried to defend myself by telling them that I didn't see it coming and it seemed like he was being more friendly then anything. It's not like it was a passionate kiss.

I know this isn't earth shattering. But I just find it interesting that I dreamed about cheating on my diet and also cheating on my boyfriend (sorta) at the same time.

lol at least you know they are both bad for you! Your ex is the same in your mind as eating pizza while on a diet? GOOD RIDDANCE!

We all dream of our secret forbidden desires, including things we know are wrong for us. It's almost fun, because you got to indulge without any real-life consequences!

Yea... I will admit it was pretty fun.

My ex and I still talk once in a while. We knew each other for ten years before we dated. For 8 of those years I was in a relationship with someone else. Even though I was always faithful, he was someone I always found attractive and kind of admired from afar.

Then I was single again, some time passed. And him and I were at a mutual friend's birthday party together. After the party we were both a little inebriated and he came on to me. He told me he basically had a crush on me for all these years but could never do anything about it. Well, that night was a fun night, lol. Him and I had the most awesome marathon sex... I had no idea where it was going from there but there was just no way I could pass up the opportunity. We decided to make it official a few weeks later.

But, we brought out the worst in each other as a couple and it only lasted 8 months. There is no animosity there though. He's a cool guy, we just were wrong for each other. I admit I still find him sexually attractive though. We've been broken up for a year and a half and I have had a couple sex dreams about him since we split up, even. I have no desire to get back with him. I know it would never work.

I am with an amazing man now though, who I am just as attracted to and the sex is just as good. I would never compromise what I have with him.

And the pizza was pretty tasty too, lol. Lately I've been craving so many bad things. Pizza and Ben and Jerry's have been the two big ones. But I haven't cheated outside the one cheat day a week I get.

I'm so proud of myself.

sounds like a great dream to me - as Northern says, indulgence without consequences!

I used to have eating dreams too a couple of years ago (last time i was dieting). I don't think they were as detailed as yours, but basically i'd wake up and know that in my dreams i'd eaten pizza or curry or something in decent (but not silly) portions. Loved it because when i woke up i remembered enjoying eating it, and at the same time obviously i hadn't really eaten it and didn't have to live with the consequences.

Wishing you lots more good dreams!

I have similar dreams but I'm smoking in them. It freaks me out.

I've been smoke free for three years. I had smoking dreams a lot right after I quit. Quitting smoking and taking an office job (after a physical factory job) at around the same time is partly what made me gain so much weight. Not saying I am also not to blame. I could have gotten it under control a lot sooner then I did.

Red face

I have vivid dreams because of stress and medication side effects. At first they were like nightmares! I would wake up so open eyed and had to calm myself down saying, "It was just a dream." Then I took some deep breaths and drank some water and tried to go back to bed. I still don't like dreams because of their vividity.

One slice of pizza, that's not bad! To put things into perspective, one time I was at a silent auction, and I had just been discharged from a hospital. I was ravenous and eating sooo much that finally a lady gave me a stern talking to. I was so humiliated and embarrased that I was bawling in the ladies room. Now, that was a nightmare, only it really happened!

I used to dream about jogging when I was 281lbs and never stood a chance at running any great distance.

Now I'm running. Weird.
