Hey girl!!
One thing I think would be super helpful if you're making a lifestyle change is to start by tracking what you already eat. Don't make any changes but make sure you write down EVERY SINGLE THING that goes on in your mouth. Do it for a week or two. Also write down any patterns you notice. Do you eat more when you're super emotional? Are you a night time nibbler?
Figure out what you're relationship with food is now so you know what to work on and can anticipate problems.
As for your grocery list, it really depends on your comfort level with nutrition and in the kitchen. Do you know your basal metabolic rate? Or how much fat, carbs, protein you would need in a day? Are you willing to experiment with healthy recipes?
If not, I would suggest signing up for sparkpeople or myfitnesspal or another website like that. It's a lot more interactive and more willing to walk you through your lifestyle changes. Plus they're free.
Hope this helps!
Best of luck,
Faye
