My weightloss journey started a while back. At my highest I was 235.5lbs. I went on a weightloss television show and lost a decent amount of weight. After the show I was in a car accident and hurt my back. I have a tear among other things that have really limited the amount of exercise I am able to do. I was very discouraged by having such limited mobility and not able to be do any kind of exercise. My back hurt to even sit or stand for periods of time. I was not sleeping at all and was on tons of pain medication which didn't help either.
I gained back a big chunk of the weight I had lost.
In January I weighed 223lbs. I noticed I had almost gained all of my weight back which added to my frustration and even a bit of slight depression (mostly just negative feelings about myself). I have lost weight since then through diet alone and today April 23 I am 188.0 lbs.
I had a procedure done for my back on April 3 and start physical therapy on Wed. Hopefully this will over time allow me to exercise to incorporate that into my routine. It has been really difficult for me losing the weight without being able to exercise. I am on restriction from exercising outside of physical therapy until at least Jul22.
I list my goal on the website as my short term goal of 169.5. I find it is easier to set smaller goals and have the excitement of meeting them which then encourages me to go on. I hope to be 169.5 by Jun29.
After that I will set my next short term goal.
I look forward to talking and interacting with everyone on these forums.
Best of luck to everyone!!!

Nice to meet you! I totally get how injuries can set you back. My car accident saddled me with scoliosis and herniated discs, which makes exercise a *****. I'm glad to hear you've started physio, I hope it helps a lot!
Welcome!! I have loved logging on here and seeing everyone's encouragement and success stories. You, too, will soon be addicted to moving your ticker so that it reads a lower number
P.S. thanks for explaining your name (not sure if this makes me a bad person, but I immediately wondered if you were swearing with those to "F"'s in your title LOL)
