Anyway do restorative yoga? It's not at all like most yoga practices. It's a type of yoga that is meant to bring you into total relaxation and healing. It requires all kinds of props that you set up to form structures and then basically drape yourself over these structures and lay there for up to 20 min. It's very gentle, any other enthusiasts out there?
Sounds similar to Yin yoga. I usually do a Yin class at least once a month, but it's a love/hate relationship. I do hot yoga 4 times weekly so settling my body to do Yin is really tough for my Type A personality. Afterwards I feel amazing though, like I have fresh new hips!
I don't know anything about Yin yoga, but restorative was created by Iyengar. I'm a type A too so I NEED this to help me relax and deal with my anxiety attacks.
