Default Why Do You Avoid (Or Try to Avoid) Overeating?

Other than health and/or weight reasons, why do you avoid overeating?

In other words, besides medical or aesthetic reasons, why is it bad to overeat?

For example, do you share certain environmental, financial, religious, convictions?

Mainly because it causes me physical discomfort, which is unpleasant.

To overeat consistantly means to gain weight. To gain weight consistantly means to become overweight and/or obese. To be overweight or obese means to be unhealthy which overtime leads to health problems. I currently-because I am overweight and also have eaten a poor diet-have hypertension which can lead to other health problems if not taken care of. I don't see why any other reason should be necessary. I am aware you said other than health. But again I don't see why any other reason should matter that much. I mean yea I want to also be sexy and attractive but I want to be healthy a bit more-that's why I recovered from anorexia.

Anyway to answer your question I guess another reason could be is the over filled stomach. Makes me want to puke.

When I overeat, it's an avoidance strategy. Either I'm bored, tired, or stressed. Avoiding the overeating means I am actually dealing with the issue in my face at the moment until I figure it out. Over time, I've learned to resort to overeating less and less. Hardly ever do it now.

Because it makes me bloated and uncomfortable.
Because I'm eating for a reason other than hunger. If I'm focused on overeating, what problem or emotion am I ignoring?

TMI alert:

because it makes intimacy with the spouse uncomfortable. Who can do that with an overfull, to the point of discomfort, stomach?
