Default I fell off the bandwagon

So I fell off the bandwagon in mid-October and maintained the weight I lost from June 3rd until about two 1/2 weeks ago. I was down to 196 and I'm back up at 205 (my highest weight is 226.8). I'm pretty discouraged and I've been lacking any motivation to go back to the gym and get back on my Weight Watchers. I don't know what to do. How can I motivate myself? I've been looking at photos of me when I was skinny and others weight losses, but nothing seems to click. I'm a full time student, and I just feel like I never have time. T^T

I'm right there with you Adbukovsky. I've been trying to get back on track since the holidays, and it just hasn't been happening. For me, it's been lots of changes, and the adjustment means that I'm treating myself to food as a relaxation technique. I'm afraid to step on the scale too. I noticed my clothes getting tighter, and it's not pretty.

But, we can do this. As they say, it's a weight loss journey, and as life happens, it's only normal to diverge from the path we want to be on, right? So, cheer up! Ask yourself - when can I get in an effective 30-minute workout? Being a full-time student is tough; I've been there and the working world doesn't mean you have more time to spare

Not sure if this is helpful, but this is what I'm currently working on: I'm starting to blog about my level of commitment to myself on this weight loss journey. I have many priorities - work, family, meal prep (involved but worth it), relaxing/proper amount of sleep - and I need to add working out to that list. It's tough to add in that new item to the list, but it just has to happen.

The question is How is it going to happen for you? For me, it's going to happen by coming home from work (11 hour day or not) and focusing on my commitment to healthy choices. What that healthy choice will be on any given day will vary between working out, eating less, and deciding to drink water or tea rather than bingeing on pizza (or my new weakness, Thai food, lol).

So, welcome back! Don't feel ashamed because we've all been and I'm right there with you. I'll end my post with a challenge: What's going to get you back on track?

Good luck and let us know how you're doing

The tough part is that there may not every be a time in your life where you have MORE time! Things tend to just get busier and busier. But you're BACK and you posted, that's big! Most of us have had regains, it happens. Recommit! You can do this, you know you can do this, DO IT!

It boils down to this, you can make time, or you can make excuses!

I am 53, a few years ago, my schedule was this.

I have a 40 hour/week ft job, 2 nights/week tending bar, and Friday night keeping defensive stats for sons football team. Plus a husband and 3 dogs and one cat. I still made food planning and working out a priority!

I have given up the bar job, in favor of gardening on a large scale, takes a lot of time, but wow, fresh, and or home canned veggies, so worth it!

I think it is a huge first step with the post you made. Admitting to yourself "All right, I need to turn this around NOW" has already put you on a more successful path.

You found time in the past to accomplish what you did, so I know you can do it again. I say don't take your first ticker down until your second ticker passes it. It will happen before you know it, and you'll be so proud of yourself!

There is time, I promise.

I am also a full time student, with two jobs, an internship, a puppy, and roommates. I eat clean and I work out every single day. When working out becomes one of your priorities, it's amazing how you manage to find time!

When I really started to enjoy working out again I started to look forward to going to the gym. When I wake up, I'm excited to get through my homework, work, and such in order to go relieve all that stress with a good workout!

As one of my profs says...make a decision.

Alibaibee...

You have the answer. Just decide to do it! That's all. Start and just do 1 day. If that works, then the next day try it. Pretty soon (I think its 3 weeks or so) eating healthy and working out becomes a habit and that makes it easier. Remember too... its easier to lose when you are younger... truly and doing it NOW is easier than doing it next year.

If you start now, who knows what you will look like 1 year from now, but more important... you will be happy next year that you did!

I think I'm stressed out and depressed, because I've been eating non-stop that I'm now 213 on the scale. I can't believe I've let it get this bad.
