Default I am worried....gain.

I am getting anxious. I was following Atkins and lost 20 pounds but cannot feel good eating like that. I want more variety and I just love fruits and vegetables and yes, carbs. LOL I am fine with replacing my old carbs with healthy carbs and limiting the portions. My problem is....the transition has been easy as far as food goes BUT I have re-gained 3 pounds. I am eating super healthy and not getting my points from processed foods and meals. I am also not eating more than the daily servings of fruit or veggies and in fact, have included my fruit in my points. Will I start to lose again?

I recently switched (the 27th of January). I was on a 10 day plateau on Atkins right before I switched and at one point I was down more than 4 lbs.

I was up slightly for my weekly weigh today but it's that TOM so there is always a bit of a gain, I expect to be down again next week.

I wouldn't sweat it too much. How may fruits are you eating in a day? I have heard some say that too many fruits can derail their weight loss. I try to keep fruit to 2 a day max and count them toward my day's points.

I only have one small fruit salad a day....maybe 2 cubes watermelon, 1 cube honeydew, 1 cube cantalope, 2 cubes pineapple, 2 small strawberries, and 1 chunk of red grapefruit. All fresh from a salad bar...nothing in syrup at all. That is all the fruit I have each day.

I re-lost 1.8 lbs today so I think I will be ok but checked my keto sticks that I had from doing low carb and definitely no longer in ketosis. LOL I am happier with the freedom of food this way though.

When a person goes low carb they lose 2-5lbs in the first week or two. This is the glucose stores in your liver and muscles. this should not be considered as "weight loss" because when a person reintroduces carbs into their diet the glucose stores are restored.

I was low carb off and on for a few years. I learned that my glucose stores led to a three pound loss in week one and a three pound gain when I increased by carb intake. It also took me a few weeks to stabilize before I could lose weight on another type of plan that included more carbs.

Hang in there and follow the plan that makes you feel good.

I was worried about this too. I think Mommajen88 is right though. I just got off Ideal Protein which is a high protein low carb. I gained about 3 lbs stabalized and started loosing them slowly. All in a weeks time (I weigh my self everyday just to see). I think by week two we should start loosing. Doesn't it feel weird to eat fruit again. I love it.
