Default Reintroduction? Back after 10 months of maintenance.

Hi again everyone! I've been lurking around the forum for a few months without posting, so I thought that reintroducing myself might get me past my inertia so I can become active around the forum again. I was never a super poster or anything, but I want to join in with everyone again.

Well, my last post in April was actually my sort-of goal post (link), after I had hit 100 lbs lost. At the time, I decided that I wanted to at least go for another 5 lbs to see how I felt, and well, that hasn't happened . I have gained several things since then though! I gained my PhD (finally), I gained a great new job, which also lead me to gaining a new home 1000 miles from where I was. So yeah, it’s been a pretty busy 10 months.

During that time I've mostly been able to maintain my weight. I've had some fluctuations while I was finishing up the last of grad school and the holiday, but I haven’t gone above 160 and stayed mostly between 153 and 155, which I’m pretty proud of. Things have finally settled down for me now, so the last few months I’ve been working at creating new routines for eating and exercise and for learning how to make good choices in both my new social and work environments. And, well, I also still want to lose those ‘last’ 5ish lbs (laugh) (well, 8 lbs now I guess, since I was at 153 this morning.) I’m okay with taking that slow now though, letting it come off as I focus on healthy eating and improving my fitness.

I look forward to chatting with everyone!

Congrats on not gaining a substantial amount of weight! Big lifestyle changes like moves and long dissertation hours have seemed to do it to me! (I got a PhD about a year ago). After doing that to ourselves (grad school), I think it is high time to focus on self care more!
