Newly diagnosed with PCOS, getting hitched!
Hello all!
A few months ago I was diagnosed with PCOS after landing in the hospital from nearly bleeding out (4.5 blood level, emergency transfusion). I have no insurance and don't qualify for state insurance so I'm getting BCP from the free clinic. Working so far. I'm also testing my blood sugar daily after learning that my sugars are pre-diabetic.
I weighed 383 on 1/1/13. I simply cut out binge eating for the first week.
My man's father is a Shaklee rep, gave me some of the Cinch stuff. For the past week I've been doing 2 shakes a day, 2 small snacks (mostly almonds, string cheese, sometimes carrots or yogurt) and a sensible dinner.
I'm a size 28 (sometimes 30). We are planning a wedding for June 2014 (hopefully). I'm doing Zumba at home but my job has me in my car A LOT (up to five hours a day) and not very physical (behavior therapy and parent training). I can no longer afford a gym membership and my asthma prevents me from walking outside during the winter.
Last year I lost 20 pounds and gave up, only to have gained it all back. Just looking for advice and support. So...hello!
PS how do I get one of those little tickers that shows my weight progress on my signature?
