2013 IS going to be 'the year'!!
Hi everyone,
Another newbie here looking for support in what I hope to be my final weight loss journey! New Year, new me and all that; 2013 has to be the year I slim down and tone up as 2010. 2011 and 2012 have all failed!!
I'm not really overweight (I weigh 11st and am 5ft 8) but I really need to tone up before I will even consider wearing a bikini this summer. My love handles, flabby stomach and wobbly thighs are the result of a very happy 4 year relationship :-) You know the one - you are wined and dined on a regular basis at first, then lots of takeaways and treats, followed by living together and increasing your portion sizes to the same as his!!
I'm trying to embark on a 'lifestyle change' instead of a diet; it's something I want to become second nature, not forced. Therefore, I'm not following any particular 'diet', just trying to eat healthier and do more exercise. As I hate cardio, I'm going to focus mainly on strength training with just a little bit of cardio intensity training thrown in for good measure. Besides, mucking out and riding my horse contributes to my weekly cardio!!
I'm also aiming to lose inches instead of pounds as when I don't see a loss on the scales I get disappointed. I am only going to measure and weigh myself once a month just to keep me on track. I've also got my 'before' photos ready so I can use them as a comparison as well as motivation!!
Enough blabbing on now, I'm sure you've all heard it before!!
