Default MFP- many people have fallen off ...

I only started using that app last month and already noticing so many people dropping out since the holidays are rolling in. I also noticed people are changing their diary from being viewable. I guess they are slipping and are not logging, it's tough I only see 1/2 of my friends on there are accountable lately. Anyone else notice this? I'm trying so hard to be supportive with them too but many are dropping out of site, the community is even slowing down. It seems to be moving slower. Does this happen there every year?

I am amazed at some who have logged for like 100+ days straight-admireable.

I haven't noticed it. It probably is the holidays, maybe send them a supportive message just to make sure they haven't fallen off

I have been very supportive, spent a lot of energy there, like owlteaszombies, I am obssessed with logging. It's nice to see others that are motivated as well, it's a positive virus so to speak.

I found a better tracker so I just deleted my account at MFP. I'm using CRON-0-meter now and its got so much more functionality. Originally designed by and for people following a calorie restricted diet for optimal nutrition and longevity it now has macronutrient suggested diet options for low carbers and the ability to tweak.

I'd say that's normal. I've been on and off MFP since I started. I don't always log/count. I sometimes have my diary available, sometimes not, sometimes I get irritated when people make negative comments on what I've eaten so I make it private. A lot of people go on vacation/travel this time of year too. I'm absolutely certain it'll be crazy active on there come January 1!

I go on every single day, but, for the most part, I've stopped logging my food and now only log my exercise. But with the hectic nature of the holidays, maybe some have just found themselves distracted from logging anything at all. BTW, you can add me on MFP. I'm themusicalfruit.

i only use mfp to track how much weight im loosing and inches lost. i dont track food on it i just use a notepad for that. my lifestyle change works for me and my health and i dont like ppl bickering at me about micro or macro this or that or that im not eating enough. i know i could just put it private but i dont feel the need to track every food only total calories eaten a day and my minutes of exercise that day. then i have a overview of what every week was like and the weight lost for that week. a lot of ppl give up on diets this time of the year. its sad but their choice . they will be back jan 1st or 2nd lol

Stephanie~ To say some members can cut eachother down regarding their diaries is an understement. I have read some community remarks and I had a couple pointed at me. Wow, I have a lower calorie target but I see some members with much lower ones look at mine and get snarky, out of nowhere. I wonder if some aren't being safe in their goals. I have thought of taking my diary private due to some of the negativity. Yeah, it seems many of the people who have gone MIA may be away for holidays. I am hoping they didn't give up though. Ihave fun seeing others lose as much as I love losing it myself.

Ghost~ Maybe I'll look into that one. I'm using several tools, they all have good points to them. Thanks for sharing it with us.

CherryQuinn~ I think that's why I'm suprised, so many people do drop it. I even went thru and saw dozens of members not login for weeks. I'm sad so many might give up on themselves.
