Hi all. I'm new to this forum and 3FC and would like to know if there is anyone out there on Meridia. How is it working for you? How long have you been on it? I have been taking the 10mg dose for about 4 days now and it really does seem to help. Have you experienced any side effects? I know that there have been some warnings, but I seem to be tolerating it well. BP is in check, as is heart rate. Bought my own blood pressure machine to monitor daily... would love to hear your experiece with this medication and any other info would be appreciated. Thanks - btw, 3fC is wonderful!

My Dr prescribed it, but at $150 a bottle I just couldn't afford it. Insurance wouldn't pay ANY on it. Id love to try it though.

I took it for several months with no problem. Lost a good amount of weight. Then I had to stop taking it to have some surgery. I gained some of the weight back and then went back on it after the surgery. And lost that weight again. Then I got to the end of the prescription (you can only take it safely for about six months). I had lost a decent amount of weight, about 30-35 pounds total. Within a few months of going off it I had gained the weight back.

Knowing what I know now I would have waited until they came out with a version that you can take for years, at least. Seems that it only helps keep weight off as long as you take it.
