I'm just curious....does anyone else regularly shave their arms? Shaving legs is almost a given, but what about arm hair?
My younger sister has been shaving hers for many years, and I didn't follow her example for a long time, as I just felt it would be too much effort, but eventually I gave in and tried it and have been doing it ever since! Personally I really like it, both feeling and aesthically (as I'm from a think, dark-haired family), and it's really not a trouble to keep up.
But anyway, like I said, maybe it's a bit random, but I'm curious if any of you others out there shave your arms, because just looking around, I don't see very many people seeming to be doing so!
I used to because I was really self conscious about the thick dark arm hair but I don't anymore. I didn't like that it would get prickly and my skin has gotten more sensitive over the years so razors even cause distress and ingrown hairs, which are more yucky than dark hair IMO. Plus, I'm married with two kids, plus FT job, AND part time school. I'm lucky enough to shave my legs let alone other parts.
So, I'm pretty neutral on it I just quit for reasons that may not affect every person.

What a funny topic! I'm italian and russian and have VERY hairy arms. My Mom used o tell me that was a sign I was going to be uber rich - I'm still waiting
I did the shaving thing but then you get stubbles which is worse than the hair. I tweezy mine (that little rotating machine that pulls the hair out) - it hurts a little but lasts a couple weeks. I've also used creams but the hair growth comes back all at once - with the tweezy, some will come in here and there so it makes maintenance easier.
I just started again. I have very blonde hair on my arms, but for some reason it still bothers me. I did all through high school and into my early 20s, then stopped. I just started again about a month ago. I'm luck to have very fine arm hair so it doesn't get pokey like the leg hair does. SO funny this topic should come up.
I've been doing this as long as I've been shaving my legs! I loathe body hair!!! I'm a natural blonde (but dye my hair dark brown)... Im not a furry creature by nature, but even the tiniest and blondest of hairs just bother me. I don't have a problem with stubble... Only on my legs but I love how super soft my arms feel once Ive shaved!
I use Nair. If I don't have time to mess with that I steal my fiance's trimmer and I trim it. I have medium colored arm hair but it's LONG and frequently gets all messed up. Haaaate it. I love the look of no/short arm hair, never found stubble to be much of an issue.
I don't as I only have a few, light blonde hairs. I have friend who does though as she has very dark, thick hairs, she uses hair removal cream instead of shaving

Me too.
Funny that this topic came up. I have had dark hairy arms my entire life and it NEVER bothered me until about a month ago. I just never worried about it and then one day I looked at them and said OMG my arms are like a man! I started shaving but then got worried about it coming back thicker (like leg hair ) so now I use Nair. Weird though that suddenly at 38yrs old I feel the need to get rid of it.
