Default Recipe Points.. how do they calculate it?

Hi guys! I am curious on how WW calculate points on the recipe tool. I made a simple recipe. Its a mix of vegetables. Like lettuce, cucumber, tomato and onions. 1 cup of lettuce, 1 cup of cucumber and so on and so forth. Just mix all the veggies and no salt or pepper or dressing added. Just mix those veggies and eat. The total points was 6 points. But when you add that on your DP individually all of them are 0 points. So I was wondering where and how it came up 6 points? Is it because of the serving size? Even if it is when you choose them individually and say 2 servings its still 0! Just want a knowledge on this. Thanks

The recipe builder includes the nutritional information for all ingredients, including 0 point items because it doesn't know 0 point items are 0 points.

I wouldn't use the recipe builder for those items as I don't really consider a salad a recipe. I would only use it for when you turn items into something else, like a casserole or a cake.

I'd count the veggies individually and then the dressing individually.

Thanks jessper17 for the info. Yeah that's what I did. I just entered it individually

Yep, what she said. ^^ It can be really confusing, but I just try to use it for things I am altering in some way. Otherwise I just put the single items in with how many servings I had and it's much easier that way.
