Default Crazy Weight Loss Ideas

So I suddenly feel the need to not take myself so seriously and step back and laugh at some of my slightly misguided ideas about things that I thought could possibly help me lose some weight...

Here are just two of my latest "great" ideas...

I somehow came across an article about how taking ICE COLD SHOWERS could help you with all sorts of things from improving your immune response to building "character" and increasing your motivation... so somehow I decided that this could help me with my "motivation"... Well the only thing an ice cold shower motivated me to do was to take a REALLY, HOT, HOT, SHOWER!!!

Now I'm sorry if this one is in the TMI department... but somehow recently I got the bright idea to try EATING NAKED IN FRONT OF THE MIRROR... to help reduce my appetite and hopefully eat less... Now this one actually worked for me, but it really just wasn't that practical for a whole host of reasons... (Hum...Y'a think?)

So I'd love to hear what other people have tried along the way that just made them laugh...

Actually cold temperatures can help with weight loss... your body burns calories to try to warm itself to that magic 98.6.

But you don't have to be so extreme about it... an ice pack placed alone the spine will do the trick... and if it gets to uncomfortable just move it to a different spot.

I've been doing that to assist my low calorie diet and it has helped allot.

I tried to do the cold thing a few years ago, but it has never helped me: when I'm cold, I just feel ravenous, and spending hours fighting such artificially-provoked hunger was just even harder than not doing anything. *sigh*

Now, the mirror... I've always thought that pretty much any human being looks kinda silly when s/he is eating, myself included, so I bet it wouldn't make me feel like keeping eating for long. XD

LOL eating naked in front of the mirror! I could never do that, I'd probably just get annoyed with myself and go off and eat more somewhere else.

I also laughed about the cold thing, but how many calories does that burn? I can't imagine it's too many or we'd all be sitting here with our feet in ice buckets right?

Its so few it makes absolutely no difference whatsoever... BUT, it has DEFINITELY been shown that your appetite increases after cold showers/swimming in cold water/doing cold water sports, etc.

I thought so. Cold and hungry are my least favourite things - I much prefer warmth and feeling full.
