I had my weight in today and only lost one pound!!... i have been on the program for 6 weeks now and have only lost 14 pounds...to mention i been completly committed to it. last week i lost 1 pound also, but thing is, i am going on a vacation for 3 months! and im leaving september 22.. im running out of time and losing very little!! :'(.. is there anything i can do to make me lose weight faster on the program? does anybody know? im 10 pounds away from my goal!!! pleaseee help i feel really upset!!! :'(
Music lover, the closer you are to goal the slower losses will be. When you look at a 300lb person losing 4 pounds a week you are seeing someone who is losing 1.25% of their body weight a week. If you are smaller 1.25% is smaller too. 14 pounds in 6 weeks for someone who only has 24 pounds to lose is a wonderful loss. I was thrilled to reach 24% of my loss in the first 6 weeks, you've attained 60%. That is something to celebrate over, you must really be working the program.
You're actually doing really well. You just need to trust the program and keep doing what you're doing.
Personally, when I got closer to goal I decreased my daily restricted item to 3xs per week and then got rid of it completely for one week. That drove me a little nuts and I brought it back in 4xs per week.
I also cut down my EVOO from the 2 tsp to 1 tsp per day. AND before my weigh in day I was sure to not eat extra sodium (in my case soy sauce).
Also, if you use condiments try staying away from them and instead of salads with dressing (if you do that) just have roasted veggies (broccoli, cauliflower, turnip fries) with seasonings...
If you're only 10 lbs away from your goal, you obviously don't have too much more to lose. Stick with it. This last 10 is always the hardest! You only have another 6 weeks to go before your holiday, just think how good you'll look and feel on that holiday when you're at your goal!
One thing I found helped me lose weight when I hit a plateau was taking two (usually I only took 1) of the florolax, it gave me a little kick start with my BMs again.
THank you so much everybody!i!! i feel so much better now after reading all of the posts!... is just a feel a bit frustrated because i do everything i can to get this over with! and i feel like is taking forever.. however im going to keep going!! ... have anybody tried working out? will it help?!!

The restricted item I ate was the Double Chocolate Bar. So yeah I think they can be seen as the snack item. But some other restricted items include chili (I THINK???). They tend to be higher in carbs, fat etc. so you're only allowed one per day. Other bars and foods are on the restricted list. Some people have better losses when they have one per day. Because they are higher in everything it's thought to be better to have it in the AM or noon meal and not PM snack. I don't have a full list. Do you have a coach or are you doing this alone? And if you don't know what the restricted items are I'm thinking you aren't using them... ???

I've read that working out in P1 can stall your losses. Gaining muscle mass will help burn more calories but several experienced ipers state working out doesn't necessarily help you lose it helps you maintain. Personally, I didn't work out a stitch until P4...but that was mainly b/c I had no energy.
There are threads about exercise. You can learn alot about when to have your snack, how much to work out etc. You will want to start of slow (10 minute walk) and build up, (if you haven't been working out).
I've been on Phase 1 for 6 weeks also and have lost ~13 lbs. I'd like to lose about 9 more. This is the fastest I've ever lost on a diet. You're doing fine.

Yes! I do have a coach, and well... i have one snack per day as permitted in the program... examples: soy chocolate puffs, peanut butter bar, ect. should i avoid this?

Be very careful in cutting back on the oil. Actually don't do it. I had done this without realizing it because I was using the WF individual salad dressings for convenience and stalled for three weeks, I then had a loss again after I ate out. I realized that I had put olive oil on my salad in the restaurant. I started to measured out the correct amount of olive oil and my losses started up again. Your body needs to have some fat in order to lose fat.
The last pounds before goal come off very slowly, it is because you don't have the big amounts of fat to lose. A pound a week is great at this stage.

THank you for pointing this out!!!!! I just realized that this might be my problem!!! i have not been taking my oil in this past two weeks because i would use wf products as a dressing!! ... never thought oils would be so important so sometimes i would use it just to cook my chicken, but now im going to stop using wf products and take the oil instead thank you!!!
