Default Confused about exercise

Hi all, When I started my mission again to lose weight I started with Hannah Watermans Body Blitz, its interval training divided into 3 20 minute sections. I managed to do the first 2 sections everyday with 1 rest day a week for about 6 weeks and lost a stone.
I was unwell for a few days and then it killed everything. I find this exercise very hard and every day was just desperate to get it over with. I knew it was good because i was seeing results so that kept me going.
So after about a 3 week break, I have finally managed to motivate myself and started to do the 30 day shred. Im on day 2 and im not sure if i should just go back to my other dvd.
I like Jillian because i enjoy using the weights knowing im toning my body, and at some points my legs are aching and i feel like im going to cry out. In the other dvd the cardio is so intense i felt like i would be sick at some points. I enjoy pushing myself to the limit and with Jillian i do not feel like im doing that.
If I have finally managed to motivate myself to do exercise do you think i should do the Body Blitz dvd or stick with Jillian as ive only just started.... Would really apprecaite your opinions and anyone who had had experience with either dvd.

I'm not familiar with Body Blitz but I do have 30 Day Shred, and I think levels 2 and 3 are much more difficult than level 1, particularly the cardio portions. Check those out before giving up on the DVD.

I have the 30 day shred, and I would say just stick with it until the "end" of the program so that you can give it a fair shot and see if it's something that works for you.

I like it becasue its short... Painful but short. I did set some really high goals for myself in the next month, so I also do the "Couch to 5k" progaram (free app that you can download onto your phone that gets you to run 5k through a nine week training program).

I find that there are a lot of great programs and dvd's out there, but they only work when you actually do them the way they were meant to be done. So give Jillian a fair shot, and at the end of the program you can decide if you want to continue or not.

My personal favorite (and I killed the tape with overuse and after years of searching, just found it online on Amazon and Ebay, and now impatiently waiting for it's arrival), is an old workout (1h) from 1988 by The Firm, it's Low impact aerobics with weight, with Janet Jones. It's hard, and it really gets you sweating, but because it's low imact aerobics you don't feel like you are going to die all the time. You can see clips of it on YouTube, but be warned, the outfits... Well... It was shot in 1988. I HIGHLY recoment it. I have tried a lot of things since then, but NOTHING and I mean NOTHING has ever done to my - ahm, behind - what this workout did. Hands down my favourite!

I did the 30 day shred and got great results from it... Level 3 is a killer, try level 3 before you decide it's not challenging enough!

I started 30 day shred, but there's way too much jumping for someone with downstairs neighbors! It seems like quite a workout, though.

Do what you enjoy! If you don't like what you're doing then you're going to find excuses to give up. Try out many different exercises, different dvds (personally Insanity is my favourite but 30DS was a great starter) or try running, swimming, dancing, aerobics - anything!
