Default The Flame Broiler chicken bowl (without the chicken)

Good Evening!

A Flame Broiler chicken/veggie/rice bowl with white meat chicken and brown rice is 440 calories. Does anyone know how I might figure out what that same rice bowl would be without the chicken (brown rice and veggies only, no onion)? The website doesn't say and I haven't gotten a response back from their corporate office?

Thanks much!

Do you know how much chicken is in it? Chicken (depending on how it is prepared) can be anywhere from 30-50 calories an ounce.

Thank you EricAnn! I sincerely appreciate your quick response!

My husband "Googled" my question and found the answer; I don't know why I didn't think of that.

The veggie/rice bowl without the chicken is 210 calories.

I thought about that 210 calories today and it seemed kind of low to me. I went to the Flame Broiler, bought a veggie rice bowl, brought it home after work and just got done measuring it all out and counting the calories: 8 oz brown rice (252), 7 oz. cabbage (44), 2 oz. broccoli (20) and 1/2 oz. carrots (5) for a total of 321 calories! So glad I did that and didn't trust the website that posted the 210. They must have been referring to the "mini bowl" (even though they didn't state that). Thanks again, EricAnn, for giving me some food for thought!

Yeah, sometimes you just can't trust the online info. Good on ya for breaking it down, 321 isn't too bad, definitely more than 210 though, haha!

Hi EricAnn,

I'm not sure how to get in touch with you, but I wanted to ask you a question. I'm hoping you will read this post.

I had an 8 oz. vegetable curry calzone this morning (no cheese) in a corn meal crust that I purchased from a local health food store. It wasn't until after I ate it that I noticed the calorie count was not on the label.

I'm guesstimating 500 calories for that product. Does that sound about right to you?

Sincerely,

CrystalRose
