Hi everyone. My name is Gail and I am 35 years old and live in Northern Ireland.
I have been married for nearly 9 years although to be honest things aren't good at the moment and I am not sure what will happen. We don't have kids but have a dog and 2 cats.
I have started my weight loss journey about 5 weeks ago and have lost around 24lbs so far. I would like to lose another 54lbs. I would love to achieve this for 2013 but as long as I get to healthy weight I have no hang ups as to when that happens.
I am attending Slimming World classes in the UK for the group support and also I have been educating myself by listening to the Jillian Michaels podcasts. So I am also tracking calories with myfitnesspal. I am heading on holiday with my family to the states in less than 6 weeks and I am hoping to invest in a fitbit/fuel band etc so any advice on the best one to purchase would be great.
Exercise wise I am trying to do 30day shred at least 3 days per week but I am walking at least 5 miles per night at a reasonable pace. (I am not a fast walker)
I am hoping to use the forum and my blog to help provide the support I need to get through journey and if I can help someone else at the same time that would be neat too.

Though I've only visited the Republic of Ireland, I think your island is one of the most beautiful places on Earth. I hope you enjoy your time here in the States.
I don't really have any info on the fitbit/fuel band, but I'm sure someone will chime in.
