Default 197 | 181 | 142 -- I'm 31-y.o. and heavier than I've ever been in my life!

Hey, everyone. I'm a 31-year-old screenwriter (I'm working on getting something sold, finally) based in Richmond, Virginia. I have experienced ups-and-downs with my weight since I was about eight. I'd say that I've spent half of my life overweight and self-conscious about it, and the other half of my life fit and barely aware of notions such as double-chins, cellulite and muffin top.
I want to get back to that state of minimal body worry. Self-consciousness? Say goodbye.
I started my weight loss journey in early May, lost about 6-7 pounds by counting calories, gained 4 pounds back after a trip to NYC, and then started the South Beach Diet. Since then, I've lost nine 9 pounds, but got stuck from not exercising.
I started jog-walking again two days ago, and plan on working weight training and yoga back into my life, too. I need a routine!

Good luck!!! Just stick with it and you'll get it done. There are no shortcuts.

Not for nothing, you're mini- goal looks very aggressive. I think you may be setting yourself up for failure.
The weight did not come on overnight, and it's not going to just jump off.
Yes, you can lose 30lbs in one month - is that recommended by anybody?...plus to do that you'd have to eat close to nothing and exercise vigorously - and from what you're writing it doesn't look like you're doing either.
Anyway, it's a journey and a lifestyle change. You have my support. Stay strong.

Thanks for your support and concern, ieszka - I usually overshoot my intended goals kind of like how a person might set their clocks ahead so that they're not late. Don't worry - I know how to celebrate all of the small steps that I make along the way!
