Default Hello! I am ....

MrsN2Be which pretty much gives away that I'm a Bride-to-Be HOWEVER that is not my reason to lose weight ... my overall health is.

You see I met MrN in February 2011 and fell in love with me as I am, a beautiful fat girl, he loved my personality, my smile, my eyes and most of all my body, he thinks curves are sexy! I was overwhelmed as my ex wasn't like that at all, he always put me down for my weight (we met when I was 20 and fit but after a car accident the weight started to pile on and eventually I was standing on a scale bawling my eyes out while looking at 235lbs), my ex wasn't exactly supportive nor thin himself (he gained double what I did and was extremely obese) so when I met MrN and he accepted me for who I was AND for what I looked like I was blown away.

My goal may seem odd at only 200lbs goal weight BUT it's something I think is attainable and allows me to evulate my progress and make a new goal once I reach 200lbs. My healthy BMI puts me at about 140lbs however I was once 140lbs and looked sick, you could see my ribs and collarbone which I don't want so I think I'm going to aim for a final weight of 155lbs BUT we'll see as I was 19 or 20 when I weighed 140lbs and I'm now 31 so my body has changed.

We are getting married August 24th, 2013 and want to look AND feel good about how I look on my wedding day so losing some weight is nice BUT not my reason for losing weight ... MrN and I can't wait to start a family, in fact we've been trying for a year now and nothing so I saw my Dr. who sent me to a OBGYN who advised that weight loss along with a healthy and clean diet would help as being obese makes it harder to get pregnant (we may do further testing as my mother had a hard time getting pregnant then when she did she lost a few babies) so MrN and I are looking to the future so weight loss is important to us so that I can be as healthy as possible in order to get pregnant and then throughout the pregnancy and continue after to be healthy and enjoy active time with our children.

Ok so that was longer than I expected however that is my introduction. I can't wait to start posting and learn more from all the members here!!!

(not sure how to edit/create a signature, can someone direct me to where I can do that so I can add my ticker)

Welcome!!!

You can do it, just keep remembering that!! every single day!

Take it one little mini goal at a time, it works better that way, and you don't get disappointed when you see how much you have left. Smaller goals are more attainable and more motivating!

Ps. For the signature, you need to have been on 3FC for over 20 days and have posted at least 20 times, I think, if it hasn't changed.

Default Fellow Bride To Be:)

Welcome Mrs.N2be! I am in your exact situation. 31 yrs old and getting married May 3, 2013. I'm working on weight loss for the same reason. We want a family soon after getting married and I want to be able to teach my kids healthier habits. Also, I'm a nurse and its hard to advise patients on proper eating and exercise while being overweight. Good luck to you on your journey. I know we can do it! I look forward to seeing your progress.

corinthian314 congratulations on your upcoming wedding! We considered May 2013 but where we're getting married is too risky poor weather conditions (outdoors in Muskoka, Ontario) so we decided on August 24th, 2013 (originally it was September 22, 2012 but due to MrN being ill & off work then a MAJOR car repair bill we had to bump it to 2013).

You've lost 31lbs already which is awesome!! I look forward to your progress!!

Hi! I am in a similar boat as you! I just joined recently, but I am also getting married. (October 2013) I also want to just become more healthy, but losing some weight for the wedding wouldn't be bad either. I also have PCOS, so I'd like to lose some of the weight in hopes that conceiving will be easier in the future.

Good luck to you!
