Post Diet's and skin

Hey, all! So, I've restarted my weight loss and after 10 days of "clean" eating, I've noticed my skin looks GREAT. No breakouts, plenty of moisture but no shine, I don't even know how to describe it. I just looked in the mirror yesterday and thought, "Wow, your skin looks great." And let's face it, I'm not often pleasantly surprised by things I see in the mirror.

I'm assuming it's what I'm eating? I was eating fast food a few times a week. I cut that out and have been really filling up on lots of fresh berries, salads, eggs. Mostly, just trying to eat fewer processed food and more "real" foods. I know my carb intake has gone down a good bit. I've searched around and there are so many conflicting ideas about diet's effect on skin.

Have you guys noticed a difference in your skin when you eat well?

Edit: Ugh, excuse the rogue apostrophe in the title. Need more coffee.

I've definitely noticed a change in my skin. I still have the occasional breakout but it's a lot better.

The only drawback is I especially noticed it the first time I reverted back to eating poorly. But I guess I can use it as motivation to keep eating healthy!

Hm. I wish that would work for my skin. I have what has to be the worst skin in the world, ever.

I feel like I have the worst skin in the world too Like, antibiotics for months to stop it festering bad. And steroid cream for 20 years bad. You know how it says on the tubes not to use it for a prolonged length of time? well, lets just say theres a good reason for that. And a ton of prednisone since before I can remember. Actually I think on of my earliest memories is of prednisone! Anyway, eating clean and wholefood-y has almost completely turned it around for me. Turns out it really cant cope with high salt, high fat, high sugar, foods or preservatives, colourings, flavours or other additives. Go figure :P This year I have been 4 years totally clean of steroids

I take very good care of my skin; I always moisturize, wash my makeup off before bed, use BB creams, once weekly facials, etc. but my diet does make a huge difference. Another factor is working out intensely and getting enough sleep. All of it plays a part!

If I have a couple days off plan or party a little too hard on vacation it all goes to heck. My skin looks blotchy and dry, I'll get breakouts, dark circles under my eyes... it's no bueno.

I have been really consistent with my clean eating lately (I usually am, but my upcoming wedding has me even more on point) and yesterday I actually had a complete stranger compliment me on my "glowing" skin.

I find this topic so interesting for some reason.

I've been really "bad" over the holiday, drinking pop AND beer and eating plenty o' cheese; I'm really paying attention to see how my skin reacts.
