I started my journey in mid-december because I was having surgery on my foot. I lost about 20 pounds, and this through the holidays, and was doing great. Then I had my foot surgery and got into a car accident and I haven't been able to kick start my diet again. It seems like I get into a good routine and then something else happens and it's not just this time.
Sometimes, like this time, I am the biggest procrastinator. I cheat and then cheat some more and then tell my self I'll start again next week.
I seem to be able to get back into the low 230's/high 220's and then I get stuck and it doesn't seem to matter what I do eating or exercise wise.
Does anyone have any advise/motivation that I can use to kick my butt back into gear?!
There will always be times on your journey where you find sticking with it harder than before. Sometimes b/c you're burnt out on putting in the effort and sometimes because you're not seeing results, but you just have to decide how bad you want it. The fact is if you're doing everything you should you WILL lose. You just have to keep pushing and sticking with it. I've gotten stuck at the same weight for a few months before but I kept pushing and got out of it and kept losing. You can do this!! Sometimes when I need motivation I either come here and read all the success stories or go to google/pinterest where ever and look at pictures of people that have bodies I would like to have some day and day dream about how my life will be if i reach that. (feeling good, wearing any clothes I want, bikinis etc.)
Good luck! You can do this - you already have done so much!
Thank you both for your support. I am happy to see, although I think I have always known it, that there are other people that have had the same issues as me. I am not trying to be rude or put anyone down, but it is good to know that I am not alone.
I worked out this morning and started tracking my calories again. I am getting back on it!!
I'm with you! totally hear what you are saying!! I like to go to the "Goals" section of these boards and read the success stories and look at the pictures...that always helps me get my head back on straight. i want to be one of THOSE people someday!!
