Positive Progress: Your Measurements, Then and Now.
For those of us (like me) who sometimes need to get our minds off the numbers on the scale, I propose we post our beginning and current measurements, if known. Sometimes you can lose next to nothing and still take off inches, and it's a great reminder if you seem to be stuck in a plateau that the number on the scale isn't everything.
If you don't know what your exact measurements were, that's okay. You can approximate them from the size shirts/pants you were wearing when you began your journey.

Chest (under bust): 31" / 29.75" / 28"
Waist: 31.5" / 28.75" / 27"
Hips: 42" / 39" / 37"

Arms: 13" / 12.75" / 11"
TOTAL INCHES LOST: 9.25!!
Can't wait to measure in again at the end of the month!! (I will admit that I cheated this morning -- my waist is now 28.25"!)

I started my "journey" beginning of February, but didn't start measuring until a month later.
my current measurements are from last week (6/11)--i take measurements every other week.
Body part: start / current
Waist: 33.5" / 32"
Hips: 41.5" / 38.5"
Chest: 38" / 35.5"
Neck: 13.5" / 12.5"
Arm (L): 13" / 12"
Arm (R): 13" / 12"
Thigh (L): 25.5" / 23.75"
Thigh (R): 25.75" / 23.75"
Calf (L): 16.5 " / 15.5"
Calf (R): 16.5" / 15.5"
total: 15.75"
there's so many days where i feel like body hasn't changed at ALL. when i look in the mirror i feel like i look exactly the same, but when i look back at measurements, its a good reminder of how far i've come (:

Yay! I like taking measurements instead of stepping on the scale!
I only started my weight loss 8 days ago, but I do have measurements taken from April...
Body part: start/current
Arm: 11.75"/11.25"
Waist: 33.5"/30.5" (I think the initial measurement is wrong)
Hips: 36"/35.75" (Ugh)
Thigh: 23.75"/23.75" (Double ugh)
The scale reflects more weight lost than the measurements! Time to hit the gym...lol
Congrats to both of you for huge numbers of inches gone! It's very inspiring!

I just did another round of measurements. I wish I had measured more. I know I lost a crazy amount of inches from my arms, for example, just going by pictures.
Starting (from what I remember. It was higher than this, actually)
Bust: 44"
Ribcage: 40"
Waist: 35"
Hips: 46"
Thigh: 30+"
Now (113 lbs)
Bust: 34" (goodbye boobs...)
Ribcage: 29"
Waist: 24"
Hips: 33"
Thigh: 19"
56+" gone. Wow!

That I've lost a half an inch from my bust and 4 inches from my ribcage is astonishing to me. I usually lose a lot from my boobs. And I worked HARD for that inch from my calves. Even when I was 170 3 months ago my calves were still 15.5". I started weight training 5 weeks ago so I'm thinking that might be the culprit of the missing half inch. Woohoo! I need to start taking more arm and thigh measurements.

Holy crap, this just made me feel better about my week...the scale didn't seem to want to move, but on a whim I measured again...
Start/Current:

i did it for a while last year but ended up having to quit going to practices because i had too much other junk to do. but it was really fun if you can handle falling down a whole lot.

I don't have goals set for any of my final measurements, I just want to be smaller. I just wish I had measurements from when I was 228, then I could REALLY see the progress. I don't even have clothes from when I was that big to see.
