Default healthy eating habbits thrown me into normal menstruation cycle(poss tmi?)

Ok, so I have this nagging feeling that my new healthy eating habbits have something to do with throwing me into a normal menstruation cycle! I started mine early back in 4th grade and have always had very severe cramps and mood changes and I never knew when I was going to stat, the periods could last from 1 1/2 weeks or just days. Sometime in middle school I believe I tried birth control to help regulate the cycle but after 2 or so years of taking them, I stopped as they didn't do anything to help. I could never predict when I was going to start and the cramps and mood changes never got any better. But things have seem to of changed recently now that I've been eating healthy for the past 13 months. I seem to have gone into a somewhat normal menstruation cycle as I started around this same time last month. It totally got me off guard as normally when its my time I can have it either at the very last few days of the month or at the very beginning of the next month, resulting in either one month having two periods or one month having none!

So I don't know if it's the food or my body changing with age, (finally) as I just turned 23. As much as I hate my TOM is just so nice to finally, after all these years to be on the road to a more predictable/normal menstruation cyle. Anybody else experience similar?

The more weight I lose the easier my period is to deal with. Everything is less severe. Less cramping, less bloating, and fewer days of bleeding.
