Default So so hungry

Today I feel hungry. I know I'm not really hungry and that it's in my head but I can't help but want to go to the fridge and gorge. The difference between the "old me" and the "new me" you might ask. Well, the new me stopped in advance of going to the fridge and thought about what was driving me to want to eat. Answer: boredom. Today is a quiet day, I'm pms'ing and lacking the motivation that has helped me lose 15lbs in 8 days. I remember what got me to this point: binge eating and not moving. I want to make a better me. I want to have a baby. I want to be healthy. I need to make a better me. I need to be healthy to have a happy, healthy baby. Solution? I'm going for a walk! But man do I want some fries.

Awesome! Pausing to figure out what is really going on is so key!

As a former boredom eater, I know how you feel. It's tough. It still is tough for me to just not get up and grab something.

You've found a great solution though. Walks usually help me too Either that, or water.

Way to go! I'm a boredom eater, too. I like your "stop and think" approach.

Great idea! -distracting yourself (with a walk, in your case) is a great way to prevent that "eating" thing from getting out of hand.

But I think it's equally as important to realize that eating out of boredom is NOT "true hunger." It's been one of my major attempts at eating like a normal person (eating ONLY when I'm hungry, & not when I'm boredom & only THINK I'm hungry).

And take a look at what you said in the beginning of your post "I feel hungry." Hunger -true hunger - should not be "a feeling" - it should be a FACT. There are soooo many times when I literally CANNOT tell the difference between TRUE hunger and HEAD hunger.

Drives me batty, it does! But it's part of my journey. ~sigh.

Enjoy the walk! I drink a lot of water/tea too and I find that helps when I'm bored.
