Default Too much protein

I'm using myfitnesspal to do my calorie counting. I'm doing up what I know I will be having for tomorrows meals and I'm going to be having a chicken, potatoes and veg dinner.

The protein just for the chicken is giving me 41g (150g chicken breast but I'll get a more accurate measure tomorrow). My total intake for protein is 45g. So I'm wondering is it necessarily a bad thing if I go over my protein but still maintaining calories, crabs and fats? I'm always hearing people say about always having a lot of protein in their diet!

To me, 45 grams of protein seems on the low side especially if you are active. As long as it does not interfere with your calorie allotment, eat more protein in general.

45 seems low to me, too. I'm on 1350-1700 cals per day, with 60-148 grams of protein recommended. I usually eat around 70-80 grams.

Oh wow! I didn't realise it too very low! It was recommended on myfitnesspal. And the calories I've been recommended was 1,200. Might have to rethink using that counter. Thank you
