Unhappy Need Advice/trying to lose 10 pounds and can't

I have really been eating on the light side and decided to stop doing the Julian Michaels DVD I have because it was just 20 min. really believing you have to workout at least 30 min 5 times a week for weight loss. I am upping the time to 30 min. no less on the treadmill walking/running. So, with that said, I got on the scale just to see where I was last week, 123.9. YEAH! Haven't seen those numbers in ages....well, am really watching it--fruit, fish, 100 cal. almonds, Jell-O, applesauce, popcorn, salad (you get the idea), did the tread 30 min. on Monday and yesterday. For dinner I have been eating a cod fillet or chicken and some ff cottage cheese, snack-skinny popcorn. Well, this am, I weighed 125.1. Now, I understand with any type of exercising, one does gain some water weight. My question is, when I see the lowest number when I get on the scale, is that my true weight? I am trying to see if I am making any progress. I have been dealing with the last 10 pounds forever and maybe thinking my body is happy where it is. I am healthy but want to just be a little thinner is all. Nothing I find works...eat too little, body doesn't burn because thinking it goes into starvation mode, eat decent and healthy no weight loss. So very frustrating....got any advice? Thank you.

Are you actually counting your calories or just estimating what you eat? Without knowing if you are truly in a deficit, it's hard to know why you aren't losing.

Also, unless I just missed it, how long have you been at this consistently?

If your doing all this exercise, it's the food you eat that is the real issue. Sure there are some things that might sound healthy like fruit or fruit juice, but some fruits are high in sugar and fruit juice is definitely high in sugar. Jell-O, applesauce ...etc are sugar too that you have to burn off. Maybe you are having too many carbs that turn in to sugar if not burned off. Check the labels and see the carbs. Reducing the carbs from your diet also reduces the sugar cravings.

You should count your calories and make sure you really push yourself when working out.
